  1. I think Hexennacht’s coffee scent just comes off as a bit of burnt caramel to my nose or on my skin. I do get the mocha smell, but there’s a note that my nose finds burnt. When it dries, it get less burnt and more chocolate. It’s not a dark chocolate – more a milk chocolate, perhaps because of the condensed milk.

  2. I was hoping this blend would give me “iced coffee (with milk and sweetener) from Starbucks”. It starts off that way; the coffee and condensed milk notes blend to create a creamy sweet iced coffee. Over time though, this blend becomes bitter on me. I’m not sure if it’s maybe the coffee and chocolate mixing to bring out some bitterness, but it morphs into something that deviated from what I was looking for.

  3. I loved this one, but it’s a very strong coffee smell so it’s not quite an everyday scent for me. I get all coffee and thick, sweet condensed milk, but not too much chocolate. It’s like a Thai iced coffee in a bottle!

  4. In the bottle, this smells like dark-roast coffee mixed with just a dash of sugar, sort of butterscotch-y if anything. I don’t really smell chocolate, which was a selling point when I decided to go for it in a swap. I’m such a sucker for the smell of coffee, but I’m forced to accept that milk notes don’t like my skin. On me, it immediately turns to a super bitter espresso. Dark, dark coffee with no creaminess… and as it dries, it turns into an almost burnt smell, like the beans were over-roasted… and then turns into straight burnt popcorn. It literally smells like I took a bag out of the microwave that was in for a minute too long, with the butter and everything. It’s weird how accurate that is. I’m blaming the milk and myself here completely. I’ll just have to stay away from milk notes!
