To preface, I am very picky with apple scents and I didn’t try buy this expecting to like it. The sample has also been hanging around for a few months so I forgot the notes before trying it. I think I bought this from a destash. To me this opened as very citrusy. Like orange juice citrusy. Then some spice (probably the cinnamon and clove). Weirdly I didn’t get any apple. Just spiced orange juice. It’s not for me.
In the decant, it smells like a bitter spiced cider. It goes on as an unexpectedly smoky cider, but then the smoke ends up disappearing, and the lemon lifts the scent and makes it a light cider scent, now only lightly spiced. The scent just becomes lighter over time and stays close the skin.
