This is not a tart, juicy pineapple. This pineapple is in a flambé dessert, caramelized and deep. There’s a creaminess in the background that rounds it out but on me the pineapple remains very apparent. I love this scent and reach for it a lot during the summer (and fall!)
I was disappointed in this. I’d heard a lot of praise from people saying this was a great pineapple scent, but I hardly get any pineapple at all. There is a little bit of cold pineapple (not fresh) at the beginning, along with brown sugar and something very creamy and lightly sweet. The pineapple is barely noticeable later, but the brown sugar and creaminess stick around.
