1. This is a dead ringer for cotton candy. After a while, it’s more like cotton candy and maybe the mandarin orange San Pellegrino, and white floral in the background. I don’t get the saltwater taffy until about 4 hours in, and even then I smell it under the cotton candy and a hint of effervescent orange.

   My partner makes a face every time I open this one, and makes grumbling noises that sound like, “Too sweet.”

2. I love cotton candy notes, so I was very eager to try this. Turns out this is a challenging one for me. I’m not 100% sure I like the black current/musk notes in the blend.
   To me, the cotton candy and orange blossom and everything else is overwhelmed with a skanky muskiness that’s almost obscene lol
   I’ll see how this settles on my skin after a bit before I have a final verdict but sadly, so far, I don’t like this one half as much as I hoped too
   Testing the ultime version, silage is very powerful.

3. Hmmm this reminds me of a mainstream perfume but I cannot think of which one…Prada Candy? Flowerbomb? Something from Escada? Maybe fascets of all three? This one is too mainstream and sweet for my taste. It’s not bad, just not my thing. On my skin this comes across very sweet and it’s very hard to pick out any individual notes. It just seems to mesh into a non descript nose-stinging fruity sweetness on my skin.

4. Feminine, sophisticated but also young. It reminded me of cotton candy soda with a fizzy background. It’s like a “bring your inner child out” perfume. Very fun and sweet.

5. This is a fun one. The image for it on Alkemia’s Etsy page is perfect: a woman having a great time on a ferris wheel. Lots of cotton candy, white floral notes, and sugared orchid. It’s a bit strong for me, so I use it sparingly. The florals can be REALLY overpowering and headache-inducing, which I wasn’t expecting since it seemed like it’d be more gourmand than floral. This is definitely similar to Prada Candy, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, and similar sugarly “floriental” scents.

6. as others have said, this is a decidedly “girly” type of scent – the type of scent you might find for sale at a victoria’s secret. with that being said, it’s still very light, very fun, very flirty – blended exceedingly well, and something that could easily be liked (or at least tolerated) by a majority of people. while some people aren’t fans of “mainstream” smelling indies, i certainly don’t mind them, and this is definitely up there in the fruity florals for me – which is saying a lot since fruity florals are what i primarily wear.

7. A sweet and inoffensive girly scent. The vanilla and cotton candy are strongest, with fresh wisps of citrus now and then. It is a very well blended girly scent. I probably would have liked this as a teenager, it does smell a bit mainstream.

8. 2/10 Calliope – department store fruity floral perfume. Well blended, very perfumey and smells commercial, like the perfume section of a sephora. A pleasant and polished scent but just not what I’m looking for.

9. Orange cotton candy with florals. It reminds me a lot of Prada’s Candy perfume.

10. This is my absolute favorite perfume. I used to say “indie perfume” but it’s actually surpassed all my mainstream faves as well now! It’s the perfect sweet fruity floral. Very reminiscent of Viktor & Rolf’s Bonbon, for a mainstream reference point, but warmer and a bit more floral. Meshes perfectly with my skin chemistry, and layers nicely with florals, fruits, or sugary gourmands. I especially like to layer it with Alkemia’s Ensorcelant or Wylde Ivy’s It’s My Party (Good Girl Edition).
