This one was odd to me. From the notes I expected something a bit darker and even more perfume-like, but it’s surprisingly clean and almost soapy. Not in a bad way, but I’m not sure if I like it. I can’t detect any sweetness from the amber or fig.
Why does this smell like aged wood when there’s no wood in there? It’s the prominent labdanum note in combination with something else…the tea maybe? This is dark, bold, unisex, intense. It’s similar to Solstice Scents’ Inquisitor, but without the strong leather note. I want this to have just a teeny tiny touch more sweetness, but it’s very interesting.
