Scent Description: The scent of eating mint-laced white chocolates in a huge old growth forest. Jammy fir balsam, a bit of black spruce, and our Glittering White (an opening of cold peppermint settles into a heart of sugar cookies, marshmallows, white chocolate, and vanilla musk).
This is one of my favorite Arcana oils. The evergreen and chocolate are such a beautiful scent combination. It’s like forest-bathing in a bottle. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have great longevity on my skin.
I have a huge soft spot for Arcana’s Trees plus gourmands; no surprise then that I love this scent. Glittering Green is wildly fresh fir trees weaving in and out of the cool mint confections. While the mint eventually dies down a bit, wafts of coniferous forest keep perking up the remaining soft sweetness.
Sugared evergreens OOB, musky sugared white chocolate with some pine on the skin. Pretty linear performance – I don’t find this morphs at all. Oddly enough I don’t get any distinct mint or spruce, though the whole scent is a bit cold and green so I suppose it’s just very well-blended in. This one is way sweeter than I expected (sweeter than HoG Winter Divinity but in a similar vein).
This is one of the first indie perfumes I ever tried. The description of “eating white chocolate peppermint cookies in a forest” is perfect. It is a little chilly, like the air is cold and the cookies have a nice snap. The white chocolate is smooth and creamy, the sugar is perfectly sweet, the peppermint is a perfect complement, and the evergreen rounds everything out in a unique and beautiful way. It is very unique and seems to really transport you to the place it’s describing. Definitely a scent for cooler months. It’s one of the only scents I have a backup for.
I’m a gourmand hater, and I love this scent. The sugary, realistic pine notes are reminiscent of those in Arcana Trees. They’re peppery and refreshing yet not synthetic-smelling; there’s not a hint of air freshener to be had. It’s a syrupy, delicious pine. As accompaniment, there’s a gorgeous white chocolate note, a smooth vanilla that doesn’t tread too far into buttery gourmand territory for my taste. I don’t smell the cookies, nor the mint, but I believe the mint could be caught up in the brightness of the pine notes. It’s an ideal balance of evergreen and white chocolate. Medium to high throw and 7+ hour longevity – the pine predominates to begin with, and the smooth white chocolate will be left at the end of the day.
