  1. This is the snake I wanted the most, out of the entire pit. Unfortunately, it is a bit difficult for me. As much as I love incense, and usually enjoy it paired with sweet-ish notes, the sugar cane here is flat out belligerent. I don’t have much experience with that note and it seems that I may have to add it to my death note list. Aging has helped, but it is quite sugary and is one of the most prominent notes. The other star of the show is champaca, which reads quite similar to ylang. It’s tropical and sweet, which can be an issue for me as it is amplified by the sugar cane. Following closely behind is a lovely pairing of opoponax and ambery labdanum. They meld into a resinous, sweet-ish, slightly woody incense that sits in the heart-note position. Noticeable, but not the most prominent. They combine with the champaca to smell a little like actual nag champa. The SO takes its usual backseat, acting a little shy but playing a good base. I have no idea what hyssop smells like, but there is a slightly sharp note buried in here that hits the back of my throat when I take a deep sniff my arm. The drydown is far milder and smoother, but the strong wet stage takes a while to get through.

I want to love you, TV! I have looked for you for so long! So I am going to keep trying and see if even more aging helps TV sort itself out.
