Brand: Darling Clandestine
Scent Description: Green tea with a smoky opium bite. This is a favorite among customers, one of my simpler blends, and a great primer for folks who are cautious about plunging head-on into the weird world that is DC. It’s fresh and invigorating, and comforting, but has just a little bit of snarl, “a flash of a dark underside”, as one customer put it.
One of my HGs aside from NAVA’s Eternal Ankh. Ever since I got into indies, I have been looking for the perfect tea perfume- it was more difficult than I expected because I love brewed tea. No milk, no sugar, no vanilla, no bergamot. Serpentina was what I had been looking for. I like to compare Serpentina to drinking clear, round, lovely green tea in a tea house somewhere far away in the mountains, with a small fireplace burning nearby. The opium adds a darker twist to this scent and I love how the perfume plays together as a whole. I love the depth and quality of Serpentina and I don’t think I’ll find anything quite like it.
Jasmine/floral green tea, watery and fresh, with a sweet smoky bite to it that is a little muskier than I’d usually expect from opium. It smells a little raw. It lasts ages, probably because DCs oil formula refuses to sink into my skin haha.
