  1. This is a slightly warmer laundry scent. Barely laundry tbh. If it didn’t say laundry, I wouldn’t have thought laundry, but because of the title and the notes, it is a neutral-warm laundry scent. Very neutral, not crisp. Like a laundry room with the dryers are also going. After a few hours, it’s mostly the same. But it doesn’t seem to be more than a skin scent. I suspect my skin doesn’t match with Death and Floral.

  2. i never get metal from this. it’s all liquid blue laundry detergent and then, inexplicably, something bubble gum ball-esque joins the party for a while until it fades into a cotton smell

  3. Ughhh. I don’t like it. I kinda get the laundry, but there is something incencey lemon cleaner about it. Like cheap laundry detergent and softner mixed together… I feel like I am wearing house cleaner. Okay. I might have overreacted there. On dry down it isn’t as bad. It just kinda smells like pink bathroom soap/generic powder detergent.

  4. I could NOT resist this scent because I do love me a good, clean (and metallic) atmospheric!

I personally find that this scent needed a lot of ‘rest’ after its trip through the mail–because the laundry flakes frequently smelled sour at first during the first few minutes of wear-time (like an old box of vintage white soap).

HOWEVER, after a few minutes–the laundry soap started to smell airy, like a bunch of delicate laundry flakes that merge well with this watery musk that I can smell on my skin. I then get a clear whiff of clean and sterile metal, and fuzzy and comforting cotton fabric. I don’t know how Death and Floral does it–but I can smell every single detail that’s been put into this fragrance. While I wouldn’t recommend this for sweltering warm temperatures (this is definitely a ‘fair weather’ kind of scent, so it’s better to wear this during cool spring/autumn seasons) this is still a well-designed atmospheric that absolutely nails its theme!
