Zazz

Brand: Haus of Gloi

Scent Description: When something feels a bit lackluster, dull and boring, it obviously is lacking zazz. To fix this we recommend something definitely zazzy and not overly complicated: Tart cranberry, pink grapefruit, sparkling champagne all shook up with crushed ginger root.

  1. This review is for the pumpkin butter version. I haven’t tried the perfume oil format. I’m not getting any cranberry (which is why I bought this) nor am I getting any ginger. Nothing “fizzy” is coming through either but it may not in the PB. I don’t think I’d pick up that the citrus note is grapefruit on my own. Zazz is giving me citrusy cleaner vibes. I’m counterbalancing that with some of my patchouli heavy oils. I’m annoyed with this cleaner vibe but I can work with it. My go to’s are patchouli heavy, vanillic gourmand or other citrus scents that do work with my skin chemistry to knock back the chemical cleaner twang. I came for the cranberry in Zazz but it never developed on my skin. I’m not a fan of the grapefruit note in Zazz. I’m a bit surprised as HoG’s citrus notes are usually fine on my skin. Oh well, you can’t win ‘‘em all!

  2. Smells like warm cranberries & grapefruit, like a freshly cooked version, seems like it would be better if it didn’t seem “warm”, not lively and zesty as much as I expected, authentic scent though and natural smelling. Maybe the ginger makes it warm.

  3. For about a minute, this was beautiful and fizzy, with the sweet and sour notes combine with a lovely effervescence. Too bad it turned soapy just a little bit later.

  4. It’s fizzy! How is it possible for a perfume to smell fizzy? This smells exactly like raspberry ginger ale to me. It doesn’t ever morph or change. Weartime is average, 4-6 hours
