  1. Without knowing the notes, I applied Hearth to my skin and was immediately reminded of Hexennacht’s Sunday Mourning. I swear there’s a maple type of note in Hearth. After about 5 to 10 minutes the apple and roasted nuts make an appearance. The orange rind and warm bread notes in this make me think of Solstice Scents Witch’s Cottage minus the herbal aspect. This is the type of scent that makes me want to snuggle and chill. There’s definitely a fall/winter/Christmas holiday vibe to this perfume oil. The balance of citrus in Hearth to the rest of the notes is spot on as is the apple. Maybe it’s the benzoin that comes across as the syrupy sweet note? I’m still not a hundred percent sure how black pepper comes across in perfumes. It’s burned into my brain that when I smell black pepper I’ll sneeze. It’s a very specific smell but I never pick up on it in perfumes. Whatever the magic in Hearth is, I find that I’m a fan. On a side note, Hearth perfume oil smells great layered over the Satyr pumpkin butter. Hearth ends up settling into a perfectly balanced mix of sweet baked goods, apple, orange rind and roasted nuts. I usually have to slather HoG’s perfume oils but Hearth is definitely holding it’s own with a normal application.

  2. This is a very comforting and warm scent as Jessica said, I mainly get citcus, but it doesn’t smell like you just squirted an orange all over yourself, there’s something in the background as well

  3. Warm and comforting with great longevity, this scent is definitely a “winter-holiday” scent. The citrus, apple, and warm bread notes mix together to create a juicy winter scent. One of my favorites!
