  1. One of my favorites. Reminds me of lemon poundcake. The lemon can be strong at first, like lemon pez, but as it wears the white cake smell that comes through is delectable and it all balances out. The sugared violets add a special touch.

  2. This one was a big disappointment for me. I was hoping for lemony cake goodness, but instead I got a very sharp lemon drop, verging on cleaning solvent. I don’t think I’ve had the best luck with violet though, so it may be that, I don’t know. There’s no cake–so no fluffy vanilla mousse kind of smell-texture, just sort of sweet? I had my sister sniff it, she said it smelled like lemon drops to her as well. However, I put a couple of drops into the bathtub and it was pleasant enough (still generic brand lemon drop though), so nothing was wasted.

  3. The lemon zest is really strong at first, with the sweet/powdery violets taking a backseat. A few hours later, it fades to a moist, white cake. It’s kinda nice.
