buttery coconut and almond yumminess. The butter notes comes out more in the perfume, a really yummy melted sugary melted butter
I got a bubbling scrub in this, and I love it! If it weren’t fall becoming winter, I’d be ordering a FS perfume. It’s toasty, warm coconut and almond that actually doesn’t read “CHERRIES!” to me! It’s a miracle!
Simple, kinda buttery, but so, so nice. Twice really IS nice.
This review is for HoG’s Hair Oil. I have to say it smells identical (hello almond cookies and macaroons!) to the perfume oil. I think I prefer it to the perfume oil. I don’t get that plastic smell from the coconut in my hair the way I do on my skin. I’ve been using it for about a week now with no issues. For reference I have long curly fine hair that’s prone to frizz. Most oils are too heavy and either weigh my hair down, make it greasy or both. I have no problems with this oil and it really does leave my hair super soft. I was skeptical but am now a believer. They are VERY generous with their size as well. The bottle is going to last me a very long time. I’ve also used this on my hands and feet with good results. I hope their other Hair Oils smell the same as their perfume oil counterparts. So far it has mixed well with my other hair products to keep my curly hair in check. I think this oil has great potential for hair of all ethnicities.
Just an update to this…in addition to the hair oil and the perfume oil I have now tried the Pumpkin Butter in this scent. On me all three smell identical. Just wanted to post this because sometimes scents can smell drastically different in different formats. Not the case here, I’ve had a lot of luck with HoG’s scents smelling the same on me no matter what format I use.
I get a lot of almond and buttery sweetness. There’s a little bit of something artificial, like… some kind of gas station candy. This scent is not complex at all, just straightforward and comforting. I like it. Faded quite quickly in just a couple hours.
On my skin this scent morphs quickly to an almond cookie note. It lasts a few hours and the sweetness fades as it goes. At some point the coconut note goes haywire with my skin chemistry and I majorly amp this artificial plasticky note that I always get from coconut. This ALWAYS happens with EVERY brand of perfume oil I’ve tried. My chem and coconuts are never gonna get along. If you like almond cookies or macaroons then you’ll enjoy this one. If your skin chemistry doesn’t like coconut then beware.
Starts as a nice, buttery sugar cookie with a little bit of coconut. Unfortunately, the almond then overpowers and is way too strong for my liking.
The throw on this is incredibly weak and it doesn’t last very long on my skin but it is a beautiful butter cookie, almond, coconut kind of scent. It reminds me a lot of macaroons.
Smells like almond cookies or snickerdoodles, one of the only gourmands that I like.
