This one makes me sad. Wet – it smells like very realistic Lake Water in a Pine Forest. Dry – it turns into Hotel bathroom cleaner and it’s just awful. I wish it would stay the same as when it’s wet, because that part is heaven. But it’s only wet for like 5 minutes.
I quite enjoy this one but… I barely get any of the notes? Smells like a clean grapefruit peel to me, sans the citrus part. With a hint of cold lake nearby.
I ordered two vials of this scent and strangely enough, they smell completely different.
The first one has mild notes of sandalwood, subtle lake water, and pine/evergreen (the pine is very prominent on the skin like another commenter mentioned). You can distinguish the notes from each other.
The second smells overwhelmingly of Vick’s Vaporub. It’s sharp, like
a smack-you-in-the-face kind of sharp…but I don’t hate it?
I’m pleasantly surprised by how clean this is… lakes are dirty places, you know! This is more like the idealized version of a lake, and that is a very good thing. The dominant smell is lush evergreen forest, with a muddled aquatic vibe backing it, and just a whisper of smooth driftwood. I can close my eyes and imagine sunbathing on the dock at my grandparents’ cabin. Nailed it! Full disclosure: I ordered this as a gift, so I didn’t try it on. It’s not really my taste, but forest greenery without aggressive pine is quite the feat. It’s also got cool, crisp, clear-water freshness to it without the fake department-store “water” notes I can’t stand. Impressive! On skin, pine becomes a little too apparent for my tastes. The person who received it loves it though, so it’s a winner for him!
This came across as pure evergreen forest to me- slightly woody and very coniferous. A very nice fir scent, though. Just the right amount of sharpness and coolness.
