1 thought on “Kobalt”

  1. Kobalt is quite nice. I’m not into vanilla, but compared to the other NA vanilla I have tried, Crystalline (which was a bit underwhelming) I enjoyed testing it out. However, I must stress that you do need to like vanilla and vanilla-centric perfumes, because at its heart Kobalt is a vanilla single note. I can pick up floral and mildly perfumey nuances that add some complexity to an otherwise thick, gooey, and nearly cloying vanilla. It is not floral, but you certainly pick up those edges. Overall Kobalt is heavy, as opposed to Crystalline’s fluffy airiness, and in feeling, it is more of an elegant ivory tone than a crisp white. Much more grown up and wearable than Crystalline. I will not wear Kobalt by itself, because I’m not a vanillaholic and it’s just way too sweet for my taste, but I can definitely call it a very well-constructed vanilla single note.
