Damn my chemistry; was hoping to get mostly Kobalt / floral vanilla based on people’s reviews but first I get a blast of watery plasticky vanilla then Crystal (my least fav NAVA vanilla because of the fruity note) then Moonstone (whose musk goes soapy on me) then Crystal/ Moonstone to Moonstone/ Crystalline. Musk is problematic on me and I’m anosmic to most musks but love Crystalline and Kobalt where the musk works: the vanilla rounds out the musk and the musk gives the vanilla a heady strength. I should’ve foreseen that the blend of several musk based vanillas would skew PV to having too much musk in it to work on me. There’s so much musk here that it gives me a headache and makes my nose feel excoriated like I’ve been huffing turps. Love NAVA vanillas but this one just doesn’t work on me, fingers crossed a good ageing will help but given the review below, I don’t hold out much hope.
This is sadly one of my least favorite scents from NAVA as a NAVA fanatic. I put it on and I get a thin-smelling, plastic vanilla even though I’ve aged it for 6+ months already- I hate my body chemistry! It might be because I don’t enjoy Kobalt as much as I do their other vanillas- Kobalt plays a huge role in this scent and I’m not sure I like the floral-ness of it.
One of my favorites! I do get the vsnills orchid of kobalt the most but dries down to crystalline
Heavy on the Kobalt – primarily a vanilla orchid scent, but has a sortof spun sugar thing happening in the background because of the cystalline and moonstone. Airy and “white” smelling.
