Brand: Possets
Scent Description: I was thinking about what sort of a gown the lovely Primavera would wear and it occurred to me that she should be dressed in a garment made of snow crystals and flowers. Even into April, spring can get cold, and then there is the floral aspect of it which we all love. There is an irony in the two ways that spring can go. Deepest and richest Mexican vanilla troupes bravely with the chill aquatic of snow falling in heavy doses and melting almost on contact. A tuft of chlorophyll is in the background and a hint of the flowers it all overtakes for just a while. This is an enchanting fragrance, a hypnotic springtime blend which is more about the atmosphere than the real flowers themselves
Released: Permanent Blends
I wasn’t sure about this one. It has a rich, almost caramel-like Mexican vanilla with chilly green overtones. I thought I’d enjoy it, but I didn’t experience any of the floral notes, and ulitmately I hoped the vanilla would be a cooler, fluffier type to better-suit the green nature of the perfume. The aquatic isn’t astringent or air-freshener like, which is a plus, but I just expected something a bit different. It’s definitely unique and might be better-enjoyed by folks who prefer this sort of gourmand vanilla.
