  1. Not impressed at all. It’s nice, but it’s a familiar scent that I wasn’t expecting from Alkemia. To be honest, it reminded me of a bath and body works fragrance I once owned, and you just don’t expect that when you shop from an indie shop right? It’s a good scent, but I won’t be back for it.

  2. Spicy, sexy, fudgy caramel and then it fades after two hours. It smelt masculine at first but it becomes more feminine and sexy as it ages. I was disappointed in the weak longevity because this was the one perfume oil I was looking forward to sampling.

  3. This particular oil was a like a nd not a love for me. Sadly, this disappears on me after about 3 1/2 hours and I don’t get a lot of the notes such as carnation, cinnamon, saffron and black pepper. On me this is a dark caramel sauce drizzled over poached pears in honeyed cognac. There’s something dark and masculine in the background that keeps this from smelling too sweet (maybe the leather note?) my nose says cedar but that isn’t a listed note in the description. Once this masculine note fades (of course it’s the first one to disappear) then it begins to smell much sweeter and really begins to come across as a gourmand fragrance. This reminds me a bit of of Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure, minus the Japanese boudoir incense, with the addition of the pear.

  4. Wow, what a wicked powerhouse! Outrageous throw for an oil, this one is all about spicy Carnation, saffron, and cashmere. I have actually been craving dark spicy Carnation and leather and Evil Temptress really satisfies those dark urges :p I would have to say that after the initial saffron/spice blast, the hay note (surprisingly) really comes out on my skin. If you want something dark and bold and different I can’t think of a better scent. This is somewhat similar to The Libertine which I’ve been meaning to repurchase but I don’t think I will be now that I own this dark beauty. There is also a resemblance to Beauty Like The Night with the pear and saffron. fabulous!

  5. For me, this is the autumnal version of Silken Tent. It’s sexy and a little dark. I’m a sucker for this kind of sweet and spicy mix. I think the initial wear of this is a little bit…sneezy for me, but when the pepper wears down a bit, it’s more gourmand. Alkemia has a great way of making seductive/sexy perfumes. This one is warm, caramel-y, and a little sharply sweet.
