  1. Egyptian musks are a staple perfume oil. Almost every house, from cheap knock-off producers to higher quality companies has their own Egyptian musk scent. They are always clean, fresh, skin-like musks that are inoffensive and easy to wear- though usually they are too mild and end up being boring soapy scents. NAVA’s EM manages to avoid that pitfall, though it is not a stunner like Kashmir or Cemetery Musk. It smells like showered skin with white amber-like sweetness and aquatic breezy-ness. It stays like this through the drydown, though the aquatic edge does fade. It is not soapy or powdery- another common issue with clean musks- but as with pretty much every other Egyptian musk it is not super exciting or unique. For what it is though, EM is a solidly made “my-skin-but-better” scent for when you need to smell good but not perfumed. It is simple but does not smell cheap. I am not a huge fan of this genre so I’m not sure how much use I would get out of EM, but that is just my personal style.
