Scent Description:
The Three Graces, or Three Charities, of Greek mythology were Charis also known as Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia. They were the goddesses of joy, pleasure, grace, beauty, festivity, adornment, dance, and song. Daughters of Zeus and the sea-nymph Eurynome, they were also the attendants, or handmaidens, of Aphrodite and Hera and protectors of vegetation.
Charis, (kar-iss) meaning “grace”, and also splendor, was the most beautiful of the Three Graces. Her scent is a soft sensual musk, dark sandalwood, and rich vanilla with the essence of vanilla bean added. All combine nicely for a simply classical and enchanting fragrance.
On my skin this is a sandalwood forward vanilla musk. I really like the sandalwood note in this…smooth versus astringent yet dominant in this blend. I believe the musk in this aggravates my allergies (sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes). I don’t know what the differences in musks are but some of them trigger my allergies upon first sniff and it’s awful. That being said, I do like the smell of this. Unfortunately due to my reaction, I need to steer clear of this one.
