At first, this is a fresh green apple, very fresh and tart. After 15 minutes or so, I swear that I get a little bit of sugary, thick caramel. After several hours, it smells like vanilla, dense buttery pastry, and an apple that’s floral in the nicest way. It’s a fun scent.
Surprise hit! I was expecting this to be more linear/’just apple’, but it’s got a subtle complexity which surprised me. I cannot help but compare this to Hex’s FLICK, which is every vanilla in her collection. Both are good layering scents but APPLE-y actually stands on its own much better than FLICK does. You definitely have to like apple to get into this one — and autumnal spices, too — but the additional gourmand notes of caramel, pie spice, cidery warmth, etc. combine to make this one a fun scent that works great solo or paired with pretty much any Falloween-y gourmand.
I’d describe this as candied apple cider. It’s rich and fruity, with just the right amount of sweetness, and a pop of cinnamon. I don’t jump on apple fragrances usually, but this is a great one! I’d say if you’re an apple connoisseur, you need this immediately. Otherwise, if you’re looking for something assertively fruity with some staying power, this fits the bill. It’s great as a soap. I could probably even wear it as a perfume. Lovely blend.
