Isabella

Brand: Possets

Scent Description: So very ladylike but so very seductive. Notes of rose are combined with a light resin, white tea leaf and a rare honey/milky-musk. This one starts off as demure and gradually becomes more and more seductive as it warms on your skin. Finally the musk comes out, and it is the sort I call “cream musk” as it becomes very brightly smoothly sweet as the mixture matures. A light dusting of familiar spices round out the mixture and make it the perfect portrait of Isabella and what she must have left behind after she lingered in a room. Enchanting and uplifting perfume.

Released: Permanent Blends

  1. Unfortunately I amp the rose in this blend and it overtakes all of the goodness that develops on my skin. It morphs into a strong eye watering rose scent. That’s skin chemistry for you. A little rose goes a loooooong way on me. This is a pass for me.

  2. *In bottle:* Floral, sweet, and a hint of something kind of herbal.
*On body/wet:* Rose + honey + something creamy (milky musk, I guess?)
–>as it dries, rose/floral comes through strongly. Starts to take on a bit of a rosewater, rather than rose scent, though I think that’s the combo of rose+ honey. Reminds me of a more sophisticated version of HoG Rose City. This might be my favorite Indie perfume of all time.
–>note: this is also the longest lasting Possets perfume I’ve ever tried, with the nicest throw.
