  1. Wet on skin this smells like something very familiar, some sort of old-school candy that I just can’t place. It’s cozy but a little old smelling..? However, the wet-sniff means almost nothing IMO, so um I’ll return in 5 minutes with new thoughts. Wow, look at that, 5 mins gone by already? Incredible, movie magic! Alright this is COOKIE LAND baby. Your grandma is baking up a storm and getting a lil tipsy while doin it (these cookies are going to taste delicious). This is quite sweet, the caramel and liqueur really come through with that tang, but it’s all still a buttery soft cloud of comfort. Not getting a ton of that wood note, but it’s definitley grounding the whole scent and keeping it out of sickly territory. Overall a lovely gourmand, quite a realistic cookie scent, but with a touch of something else which keeps it perfume-y and not candle-y. Nice!

Verdict: Grandma used bourbon instead of vanilla in the sugar cookies, but you know what they say – bake, drink, and be merry!

  2. When I opened the vial I got a little nervous, because I smelled mostly butter – and butter notes become cloying to me – but I am pleased to say that the butter does not stick around on the skin. No, on the skin are mainly the spices: cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon (I smell it even if it’s not explicitly in the notes); and running underneath them is a delightful cookie scent. Wafting from the skin, however, is something different. It’s not quite eggnog, it’s… almost minty. Like a mint variety of those Meltaway cookies.

  3. We have another winner! Since this one is an advance holiday sample, I can only describe what I get from it because the notes are not published yet to my knowledge. On initial application, I get a lovely caramellic, vanillic baking note that is not hitting you over the head with any of these facets, they’re sort of a nice trifecta of goodness. There is a creamier eggnog note with some spices and a shot of Kahlua starts to bloom – the coffee in the Kahlua is VERY subtle and it works wonderfully as an anchor the sweetness and milkiness of the scent. It creates a deepening effect that is very pleasant. It is not a prominent note and more like a liqueur than a hot coffee to me. I love it and I am super picky about anything with hints of coffee but damn, this works!

  4. Mmm! May I introduce everyone to holiday baking in a vial? Oh my, yes And To All A Good Night is a buttery, boozy medley with sweets and spice and everything nice for the holiday season. I even smell the unmistakable aromas of buttery pine aged wood, crushed nutmeg and vanilla from my great-grandfather’s rolling pin I use for my seasonal baking. Now that’s flipping amazing, no other indie shop I have tried has presented that note and experience.

  5. YUM. This is like being in a kitchen where someone has being doing all of their holiday baking. Think fresh-baked cookies, some definite sweetness from the caramel, a bit of spice. Sweet and cozy and delicious.
