  1. Oh my GOD. OH MY GOD. Alright y’all, I really was not ready for this heavenliness. I was actually quite wary as I’ve been really crazing chocolate scents recently, and… have not been as wowed as I would have liked to be. I find chocolate scents can sometimes smell like.. vomit?? I think it has to do with an association to some chocolate bars in the states that use an acidic stabilizer and um it’s kinda weird, you can read more about that here, but ANYWAY, the scent. Didn’t think I’d like. Turns out I was right.. I ADORE THIS.

  2. smells like a cozy day in – you know, the one where you have no responsibilities and all you need to do is wake up slowly, cuddle a little longer, keep your belly warm, and end the day with some hot chocolate to soothe the soul. all i can say is that this scent is delicious and gorgeous, and ever since trying some from my friend it’s been on my mind. i’m looking forward to purchasing a bottle of my own, and you should too!

  3. holy grail autumn fragrance! makes me feel like i’m wrapped in a warm blanket drinking slightly powdery hot chocolate on the front porch watching the sunrise on a misty november morning. soft and cozy with a little spicy floral. already full-sized my sample. never want to be without this!

  4. Woof. I don’t know what happened with my samples. I ordered this and South Star. When they arrived, they had an overwhelming bleach smell. Extremely plasticky and bad. Very much pool water. I like to smell samples a few hours after they arive to get an initial impression and have something to compare to the final impression after resting. I didn’t like either of these. The bleach smell was so overwhelming I could barely get any notes. On the skin, even worse. I stashed them away in a plastic organizer with the rest of my samples to come back to later. I went into the box to grab a different sample (these had been resting about two weeks at this point) and the bleach smell was overwhelming in the entire case. It had permeated labels on other samples (it’s a plastic craft box with little divided compartments, so it was pure aroma that permeated and not any actual physical contact). I pulled them out and smelled them and the bleach smell had gotten worse. It was awful. I had to throw them away. My husband came in to the bedroom and thought I had spilled bleach in the en suite. I can’t imagine that’s the same experience others are having, but still. It was these specifically, as the rest of the Ajevie order all smelled fine and rested normally. I don’t know if perhaps there could have been some contamination from sanitizing the vials, but maybe? Very disappointing, though. Luckily enough, Mischief Mash from Stereoplasm and The Peach Queen from Death and Floral both exist and are wonderful, so I don’t feel as though I missed out too badly.

    1. Hi there! Elizabeth here, owner of PULP, I’m so sorry this happened to you! It’s definitely not normal for anything to smell like bleach. We don’t even use bleach to sanitize anything, just pure ethanol, which has basically no smell at all once it evaporates, so it definitely would not leave a smell like this. I am pretty mystified as to how it could have happened, but I’ll reach out to Ajevie to ask her to check if any other samples that she has have this issue as well, so I can replace those right away if they are any.

Also, I know you did not buy these directly from me, but if you email me your info ( pulpfragrance@gmail.com — or DM me on Instagram, I am on there a lot: @pulp_fragrance ), I would be more than happy to send out replacements to you for these, free of charge.

Again, my apologies! No idea what went wrong, but your experience is definitely not normal and I’d love to get a chance to correct this for you.

  5. YES! This really is such a cozy fall scent. It smells like a wonderful coming together of lightly spiced oatmeal that has fused with something slightly resinous there’s a wonderful “thick” kind of resin like consistency to this. The light spice of the carnation flower is a wonderful pairing with the oatmeal and there’s a calm very slightly powdery (NOT as in floral powdery though) chocolate note that really is like a mug of hot chocolate. This is fabulous on cold day. The drydown is really lovely and cozy.

  6. To me, this fragrance smells like sitting in the backyard of a cottage in the woods on a slightly chilly, overcast October morning with a cup of hot cocoa lightly spiced with cardamom and cinnamon and an oatmeal cookie lightly dusted with powdered sugar (probably how my nose reads the carnation note). The spices are not in-your-face-“hot”, rather, they just make the scent richer. It is also not sugary at all, but the light sweetness of the oatmeal and the carnation give it mellowness. It is a beautiful, beautiful scent. On my to-fullsize list.

  7. The longer this oil rested the better it became for me as now it’s a lovely spiced creamy froth from a cup of hot chocolate surrounded by scattered carnation petals and hints of crystallized maple syrup. It paints a cozy scene and as the hours tick by the tactile aroma of a fleece blanket appears along with strength of the velvety touch of the carnation petals and slightly toasted rolled oats. The soft chocolate note is the first to fade within minutes but the sweet spice blend of the cinnamon and carnation anchors my nose to my wrists as I have a serious craving for cinnamon blends this time of the year like never before making Autumn Morning a keeper and one to recommend.

  8. This opens with a lovely sweet milk chocolate note, that sadly fades quickly following application. Bye, delicious chocolate, I’m sad to see you go. What remains is what I can only describe as a “snuggly cinnamon scent”. Some of the spiciness, I think, is actually the carnation. Can’t say that I specifically detect oatmeal, but the overall scent impression is of something warm and soft and comforting.
