Headmaster

Brand: Solstice Scents

Scent Description: This perfume was inspired by the Headmaster of Gibbon’s Boarding School. Headmaster opens with a top note of honeycrisp apple (grown by the neighboring Corvin’s Apple Orchard) and a touch of pear that leads into a gorgeous bourbon heart that is heavy on notes of oak and vanilla with nuances of caramel and brown sugar. Stepping into the Headmaster’s office, you will detect the scent of cedar pencil shavings. The cedar is a top note that emerges a few minutes after application, as the apple-infused bourbon settles around it. It leads into the dry down of warm oakwood, gentle spices, rich aromatic unlit vanilla pipe tobacco, polished applewood and amber. The scent is sweet, golden, warm, woody and sophisticated.

  1. I could smell the wood, a little bit of warm spices, then something that smells like sweet, buttery cake. It’s hard to identify what I’m smelling, since I don’t usually gravitate toward these things, but I do think it’s a really nice sweet wood smell with a lot of rich layers and depth.

  2. It’s just a delicious combination of boozy apple and chewy tobacco made slightly syrupy with the bourbon, amazing fragrant woody notes (I just adore cedar, and the applewood and oak really bolster it to make a delicious sophisticated wood combo). The amber and spices just serve to add some warmth and fuzziness to the scent. This scent is wearable year-round, but is perfect for fall and winter IMO.
