I loved this one originally, because the weird butter scent really grew on me after I got used to it. However, I do think it may have been a victim of Alkemia’s move to 100% vegan ingredients awhile back. My second bottle of Au Lait was just not the same. RIP.
This smells very much like the buttered popcorn Jelly Belly jelly beans. I don’t get “milk” per se; this is butter, straight up. Maybe a bit too much like the fake butter flavor in microwave popcorn, but I like it just the same.
Unfortunately, this went bad on me. It smelled like milk that had been sitting out a little too long – not quite rancid but on its way. I scrubbed it off.
