1. I used to think that I didn’t care for the smell of patchouli. Turns out, I don’t like the smell of people who try and cover up their body odor with patchouli. It smells divine on clean skin!!! The patchouli in this is superb. It mixes with the musks and amps this slightly smoky chocolate note. Not akin to the dreaded Tootsie Roll smell but more like a dry cocoa smell maybe. If you’re familiar with Possets Howl, the patchouli in this seems to smell the same. This lasted about 7 hours on me. I can see this working on men and women. If you’re not a patchouli fan then stay away. Personally I really enjoy this. I find it a wonderful example of how patchouli can add complexity to a scent.

2. a very dark dirty earthy patchouli, ever so slightly sweet with musk and a slight tobacco vibe. It’s really good and if you love dark viscous patchouli and dirty musk, you’ll be in heaven.
