  1. I amped the bourbon so much I could not smell anything else for the first ~30 minutes. The alcohol was so strong and astringent I could feel it in the back of my throat. After around an hour the bourbon calms down a lot and I can smell the woody notes and fern. Still, I found the mix of notes didn’t come together that well on me.
