  1. Mmmmmm… this is so damn delicious! The delightful way the dark, drippy blackberry plays against the tart lemon would be enough, but add in the relaxing, ever-so-slightly herbal lavender as a counterpoint and you have pure magic. I always worry about lavender because it doesn’t take much of it to ruin a fragrance for my nose. It’s astonishingly balanced here, dancing from playful and flirty to soothing and calm. This is like the lemonade yin to my Whizzpopper yang. That one is unabashed, effervescent, youthful sour candy (and one of my favorites). This one is the cool older sibling. I’m going to have to watch for de-stashes of this one because it’s way too good not to own. LOVE.

  2. This goes on very blackberry forward. Sweet from the lemonade and the berry, with a great big juicy punch, the lemon tang catches to balance the sweetness. It doesn’t even smell like perfume. It smells like I’ve been picking berries and squeezing lemons, then the sugar sticks to my fingers as I stir it into the pitcher. I had to keep checking where I tested it on my arm to see if it was sticky, it was so true to life. About half an hour later, it’s perfect. Everything has settled and I really notice the lavender. The floral balances out the sweet, so I get a pleasant blackberry smell. Not blackberry juice exactly, but more like the smell of the fruit on the vine. A hint of sweet with a pinch of tang from the lemonade finishes it off. It’s a winding down on a hot summer night kind of drink. Or scent. You take a sip or a sniff and sigh with contentment.

  3. Very sweet, sugary, fruity, citrusy, and bright. Candied blackberry and sugared lemon with hints of candied lavender and something powdery.

This is a sugary scent with nothing to really temper the sweetness. The lemon is far more sweet than sour, the blackberry seems candied and artificial (like a blackberry flavored sucker) and the lavender is barely there and seems candied as well. There’s also something powdery in the background that I don’t care for.

Not for me, but maybe for someone who enjoys candied fruit scents.
