It was just awful. I’m so sorry SSE! Most of the time I like their scents but this one didn’t smell like lilac OR gooseberries it was sharp and soapy and unpleasant the bold version is much better but if you’re looking for an authentic Lilac and Gooseberries try the one from Bella des Natural Beauty it’s spot on.
I don’t know what went wrong with my skin, but this is just straight up baby wipes. I think what I’m mostly getting is very soapy lilac? I wish I had another point of reference for smelling gooseberries because I have no idea if it’s showing up at all. I’m a bit disappointed considering how often lilac and gooseberries were mentioned in the books and games!
I did not like this one because: I am very sensitive to overly soapy laundry detergent type smells and this smells exactly like laundry soap to me. It was very sharp and just stuck to the back of my throat in a harsh chemically way that I could almost taste. Strangely I would peg this as a bold scent and the other as softer imo. Not my cup of tea but those who like clean smelling laundry scents might like this.
