  1. Without looking at the notes I assumed I got what must be attributed to the rose as a very heavy white floral note. It almost seemed the scent had slightly gone off. I enjoy the imagery the notes portray but the scent is too heavy.

  2. When first sniffed fresh out of the mailbox, this was sharp and astringent. Aging has done it justice: still carries the aforementioned traits at first, but they’re now deeper and more defined. That black patchouli is black as night. Roses are a sharp and dry floral, like a deadly dame’s perfume. There has to be black musk in here; I’m getting a hint of the Coca-Cola thing some black musks smell like to me. It’s thick but far less syrupy and not very sweet – now that I know what Blackout smells like I’m positive that’s what this is. Would all be so heavy if not for the snow, a cool and slightly aquatic feel that keeps things just light enough that it doesn’t fall into a pit of darkness.

  3. I wanted to love this one so badly!! Unfortunately, I can’t smell rose OR patchouli. I don’t even know what i smell! Just a vague semi-sweet….. something?

  4. It’s possible that this just needed more resting time (I gave it 2 weeks or so) but the black patchouli made me gag, it was so strong. A scrubber for me, unfortunately.
