Scent Description: Though the Egyptians didn’t have pumpkins as we know them, they probably had gourds, the other members of the pumpkins’ family. This perfume starts out with a gourd accord (!) and slides into a fine brew of lavender, oakmoss, and thyme which are twined around a resinous ambery heart. Magical and unexpected.Pretty surprising pairing of different fragrances to make a very solid and beautiful new one.

This one was an unexpected hit with me. I had to try this unusual combination. The amber “heart” of this one is divine. This is one of those perfumes that’s blended so well that it’s hard to differentiate the individual notes. The sum is greater than it’s parts…is that the saying? I agree with Dee’s comment, this is a deeply comforting scent. I could wear this as a sleep scent for sure, it’s very calming to me. Honestly I didn’t know gourds really had much of a smell but then again neither does pumpkin and they’re in the same family. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a scent quite like this one…magic indeed!!!
So unique and beautiful. The floral aspect of the gourd is brought out by the lavender and deepened by the amber. A non foody gourd. It is deeply comforting and warm, and perfect for Fall.
