On my skin this is all unlit tobacco and cacao. As it wears I get the smallest hint of vanilla but for the most part this is unchanging unlit tobacco and cacao. It actually reminds me of an old Alkemia Experiments oil I have. I can’t remember the year or the number but the notes are amber chocolate and tobacco. I think this would be an interesting oil to layer. Nicotine lasts about 6 hours on me, which is pretty good. As far as tobacco scents from Hexennacht, my favorite so far is still Ceci N’est Pas Une Pipe aka Papa Legba. Without reading the notes, I was a bit worried that this would smell of actual cigarettes…I guess that’s where my mind goes when I see the word “nicotine”. I’m very happy to report that’s not the case. No cigarettes here, yay!
You know that smell when you split a honey cigarillo? This is that, bottled. It’s still pliable and super fresh, sweet but with a heavy dose of earthy tobacco… It explodes into a whole new world when it hits my skin too! I smell like I just left the humidor at an exclusive lounge and now I’m savoring a rare rum as I light my selected cigar. Absolutely exquisite. This could work on anyone, in my opinion. If you like the smell of tobacco shops or cigars, this is your jam. It’s well-executed, and I’m impressed.
The richness of cigars and tobacco enrobed in indulgent chocolate. If you’ve ever been a smoker, this scent will probably bring you a sense of nostalgic comfort. Over time this fades into a soft, sweet vanilla. The chocolate is weirdly dominant on me but your mileage may vary.
