[…] like Sinterklaas (Hexennacht) and wishing I could order a bottle. It’s seasonal so I’ll have to wait […]
Spicy, gourmand, sweet, and warm. CINNAMON sugar cookies with a hint of sweet orange. Can’t say that I smell any tea or cream.
This is very cinnamon heavy and I don’t like cinnamon. If you’re curious as to the difference between this and The Haunted Tea-Cosy (in my experience of course), Sinterklaas is much spicier, has far less orange, and no tea at all.
Not for me, but cinnamon lovers may enjoy this.
I got this from a swap partner as a sniffie sample on a ribbon. I can’t give a skin impression due to that, but I think I’m correct in assuming the cream note wouldn’t work for my skin chem. I can pick it out easily and am reminded of the way “sweetened condensed milk” smells in the bottle before it goes awry on me. It smells quite good if I ignore that note though. It’s spiced orange cookies that aren’t overly sugary. The spiced orange part smells like what I wanted from Diablo/ Inferno. It’s just perfectly balanced between the fruit and the spices. Then the sweetness from the cookies and sugar is doing a better job grounding them for my nose than the musks did in Diablo. I can see why there’s a potential holiday association here, but it’s not at all screaming Christmas, so I could also see it being worn year-round. Overall, it’s nice. I don’t think I’m gonna risk that cream note hating me though. If that isn’t a concern for you and you’re interested in this one, I would go for it. I’ve also seen a strong love for it from people who have tried it (and begged for it to return when it was temporarily off the scent list), so it has that going for it too.
