  1. This smells delicious, rich and sweet in the bottle. I don’t know why I was so afraid of the buttercream marshmallow note on this one. When I opened it, I thought I’d finally found my Poesie rose, since other rose scents from Poesie haven’t worked for me before.

When I first tried it, the second I put it on, it was gone. It wasn’t my skin eating it, though, because my sister could still smell it, and throughout the day I could still catch a whiff of it here and there. Fortunately, I tried it again with Alkemia’s Perfume Fixative and it worked normally one me. I guess it may have also needed to rest (I wore it first a couple of days after I got it in the mail). It is a very sweet and sugary rose, and the wood note plays in the background. I think I might like this one a little more if the mahogany was a bit more prominent, and the buttercream was a little less. I like the sweetness, but the creaminess I think keeps this one from really working for me.

Although I can make this one work, since I have a whole lot of sweet roses that work for me with no effort, I ended up destashing this one. But I almost kept it.
