Smoky Mountain Mallow

Brand: Solstice Scents

Scent Description:

A sweet and very smoky scent reminiscent of the smell of chimney smoke in the cold winter air and the comforting aroma of the fireside. There are layers to the smoke accord created in this scent. It is rich and warm and smells of campfire smoke that clings to your clothes and burning woods with a hint of soot, char, ashes and glowing embers all at once. The sweet marshmallow adds a creaminess that rounds out the strong smoky profile. Lapsang Souchong C02 (smoked tea), precious fossilized amber resin, sweet guaiacwood, golden resinous labdanum, wood smoke, fluffy marshmallows and a touch of nutmeg essential oil combine to provide an extremely atmospheric and delectable experience.

Initial application of this scent is very smoky, akin to burning wood and campfire smoke with a little sweetness underneath and a whiff of nutmeg essential oil. After a few minutes the smoke softens and the moderate sillage will gently waft around you through the length of its wear, smelling like a distant fire on the wind. The marshmallow does become stronger, sweeter and more apparent the longer this wears on the skin.

  1. Saddly I recieved an email today from Solstice Scents saying they’re discontinuing Smoky Mountain Mallow due to issues sorcing the needed ingredients. Whats up for grabs now is it and then it’s gone.

  2. Smells amazing – like toasting marshmallows straight over a bonfire with a glimpse of spice. Not too smoky. Just right.

  3. This is one of my absolute favourites. It’s mostly bonfire smoke on me and I absolutely love it. It’s the most comforting smell ever on a cold night outside.

  4. Savory smoke and vanilla marshmallows- The smoke is not exactly like BBQ smoke as a lot of people have commented but it isn’t a fresh smoke scent either. I bought a FS after sitting on a sample for a long time because I found the scent very comforting despite disliking it at first and for a long time. It leaves an impression 🙂 I imagine this would be a great perfume for almost every season (except spring).

  5. It smells like so much glorious autumn/winter bonfire smoke and sweet, gooey, slightly charred toasted marshmallow. The marshmallow is definitely not over-saccharine and it has a sort of wooly quality with notes of the charred sugar and branch. In general it makes me so happy as I associate it with the rare colder nights building a fire with friends outside and having your clothes smell like cozy woodsmoke all night.

  6. This smells like a cozy mountain man almost. It reminds me of snuggling under piles of blankets in the middle of winter with a partner. It is mainly woody and smoky on me, but in the best way possible. There’s a soft hint of marshmallow underneath to round it out.

  7. Took forever to age enough that it smelled like more than campfire smoke and charred wood. The marshmallow is wonderfully sweet and makes this very wearable.

  8. A sweet woodsmoke campfire, perfectly toasted marshmallows, and rootbeer. That is my take on Smoky Mountain Mallow. Smoky yet still light enough to wear to work and other close quarter situations. This is a favourite of mine.
