I got scared reading reviews about this being fruity and sickeningly sweet as I dislike most fruit and gourmands; except fig and only if there’s that bitter green sap aspect, but I’m so glad to find this isn’t sickeningly sweet at all! It’s sweet to be sure but there’s that refined high end perfume feel that I adore in NAVA blends. Wet it’s toasted coconut and green and sappy fig which cuts through the sweetness. As it dries it gets sweeter from the pear (v restrained and more like a floral accent) and Kyphi but the amber and wood base notes stop it from going into full gourmand territory. I’m overjoyed that I wasn’t swayed by other opinions because on me this is nuanced, perfumey Fig with touches of toasted coconut, a perfect summer blend!
Sickeningly sweet, with no depth. These notes are not exactly up my alley, but I did expect to enjoy it more. Lots of fig and coconut, but it’s so heavy and sweet It’s hard for me to put up with. Feels very base-note heavy.
