I love lavender AND anise/licorice so I was very excited to finally get ahold of it. Sadly I was disappointed. it’s very bland and not a good representation of either note. after about 20 mins it’s a mere ghost on my skin. For a gorgeous smoky lavender/licorice I highly recommend Firebird Black Moon. It’s the best and I have yet to find one better.
This perfume is beautifully balanced. It starts out strongly smelling of anise and fades to a mix of vanilla bean and black pepper with a hint of anise after a couple hours. I don’t get any lavender out of it, which I am totally okay with.
