Sugared Decay

Brand: Astrid Perfume

Scent Description: A few words on this particular single note, since I think you will be curious about it. The decay note is very reminiscent to a Graveyard Dirt single note I offered a very long time ago under my previous business, but this single note has added earthiness with hints of soft rotting bark and wild mushrooms. I made this while listening to Chelsea Wolfe. It is not very perky, but it is a unique and wearable blend.

  1. Sweet (but not to the point of sugared in my opinion) a little wet, green, and decidedly earthy. It’s not a clean smell and the wetness goes away after a bit, leaving the earthiness behind. I’m not entirely sure if I’m getting the decay so much as a forest after rain.

  2. This is not my area of expertise at all, so it was hard to pull out many specifics on this one. It’s 50/50 Astrid’s confectioner’s sugar note (which is sweet and a little sharp) with damp, earthy dirt. It is more wearable than I thought it would be.
