CAKE. This is a very sweet scent, but not sickeningly. I get the wedding cake, burned sugar, and vanilla musk the strongest. I think the musk helps temper the cake note. This is a surprisingly love for me. On the skin while still wet it’s cake and honey and musk. Dry, the orange honey comes out and after a few hours, all I have left is unlit birthday candles, which is a note I was not expecting to actually get out of this. I’m so impressed by the scent.
I’ll be honest, when I first got this I put it on and it had that freshly peed-baby diaper note that honey can sometimes lean towards. I was high-key bummed, but I was out of the house and couldn’t scrub it…lo & behold, I gave it another sniff after 45 minutes and it had transformed into a beautiful warm vanilla orange blossom scent. I let it age for a few months, and luckily now the diaper note is quite tamed. This is soft and gorgeous, I even get a hint of waxy birthday candle. The cake frosting is there, but it’s tempered by the orange blossom, which is one of the more realistic OB scents I’ve tried. It’s sophisticated, but not too mature. I think it could pull powdery on some, but overall, I’m glad I snagged this one.
