  1. The gardenia, white iris, and honeycomb are the showstopper notes here. The aldehydes give it a little brightness so it isn’t too heavy, but the ash, opium, and cold skin give it a darkness that pulls it firmly into fall/winter territory. It’s well-crafted and heady, maybe a little somber. It’s a very floral-and-honey forward scent with a lot of additional nuances that make it very complex and beautiful.

  2. Oh wow, this is definitely unique and I don’t think I’ve smelled anything like it from Sixteen92 before (at least, from the stuff I’ve tried). It’s an effervescent, sharp-tasting, slightly sour in a good way gardenia and iris. I get some waxy elements from the honeycomb, very realistic as far as honeycomb goes with some of the honey left behind, and the butteriness of gardenia is completely eradicated to leave the green and white tones behind. A swirl of narcotic opium drifts in and out, not quite smoky but definitely silky and hazy. Now that it sits a little longer, I do pick up some similar notes to The Bottling Room. Interesting, but not quite for me.
