  1. Blind bought this thinking that a vanilla scent would be a safe buy and I managed to proved myself wrong. Super sickly sweet and artificial smelling with none of the lovely warm vanillas that other Hex scents seem to have. Fades super quickly on me too and I don’t get any nice skin scent it just smells plastic-y and then disappears.

If you want a simple, safe vanilla from Hex you should go with Spectre.

  2. I figured this would be a no brainer yes for me, if maybe a little plain. I like vanilla. I like bakery scents. I like sweet for the most part. I also know there are some banging vanillas in the blends from this house, so I was convinced this would be for me. I almost blind bought a body oil of it, in fact, and switched it at the last second. I’m glad I did because I like this way less than I expected. The mélange of vanilla starts reading plasticky to my nose for some reason. How upsetting! I’ve smelled so many wondrous vanillas in Hex perfumes, but when you put them all together, I kinda hate it! The dry down becomes more and more pleasant, settling into a straight and pure vanilla. A bit like the extract minus the alcohol burn. This part reminds of the also discontinued Tihota (dupe?). The trailing end of it is this gorgeous vanilla perfume, melded with my skin musk. Beautiful. I would wear this part! Still, not too sad this one was discontinued either. Phew.

  3. This is a nice, inoffensive vanilla scent. Not particularly interesting but not bad either. There is a strange slightly sour note underneath it that reminds me a bit of vanilla yogurt. Overall it’s nice but not stunning.
