Samhain

Brand: Cocoa Pink

Scent Description: Ancient oak trees cloaked in blankets of oakmoss with dying crimson leaves at their base surround the haunted cabin. Apparitions form and disappear in the blink of an eye and the delicate yet earthy notes of sheer vanilla, aged patchouli, fresh dirt, neroli, dried rose petals and misty white musk are all that remains.

  1. They’re not kidding about the aged patch here. It’s very refined, and settled, not bright and harsh in any way. It’s quite nice! It smells like my old herb chest in the bottle, which gives me a feeling of nostalgia. Once I put it on, there’s a little sweetness, a little muskiness underneath, and some outdoorsy qualities. This is a very well-blended perfume, and I can see why others have called it “old-school”. There’s no dead leaves smell, which I was a little worried about. Sometimes when the description mentions that, it’s over-powering. Here, it’s just a suggestion. All-in-all, this is very wearable. Will happily use the bottle up, but I don’t think I’m in love enough to upgrade to a full-size immediately. Maybe sometime in the future.
