Spicy gingerbread snaps that become cardboard on application. At that point, it’s marshmallows and cardboard.
This is very ginger + bread on application. That probably sounds strange and obvious, but the best gingerbread to me is filled with spices (if I’m being completely honest, that applies to all food). This is straight-up ground ginger, with a separate dark bread smell. I don’t get any other spice coming through (which is disappointing). There’s also no marshmallow. It’s very, very lightly sweetened, like a thin drizzle of icing on top of the bread. The dry down is progressively sweeter, becoming gingerbread-flavored marshmallow (there it is!) at the end of wear. I can detect a faint whisper of nutmeg trying to come through too. It’s one of those blends that I don’t particularly like to start, then gets better and better later. So, it averages out to being good overall, but I don’t think it needs to stay in my collection.
