  1. 100% cherry Blow-Pop in the bottle. I sort of expected that since cherry goes sticky-sweet fast. On my skin, it smells precisely like an unlit cherry-flavored clove cigarette. I’m perplexed by the fact that the patchouli is missing in action. This is reminding me a bit of being a teenager, which isn’t bad necessarily, but it’s also definitively not what I’m striving to smell like! The cherry takes a few steps back after a minute or two and I can just barely pick out something sort of earthy creeping in. Is the cherry too strong for the patch?! Patchouli is normally such an assertive note! So. Weird. The less cherry there is, the more I like it. It becomes a sort of faintly spicy, faintly earthy, amorphous candy scent. It’s absolutely unlike anything I’ve smelled before. I’m at a loss for comparison. I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about it. It’s not something I would seek out though; I can say that. Pass.

  2. While extremely sweet on initial application, this dries down into something rich, spicy, and wonderful. The patch and clove give the cherry a warm fuzziness and it has great staying power as well. I held off on purchasing this initially because it shares notes with BPAL’s “Blood,” but to my nose they don’t smell alike at all.
