1. Smooth, calming Earl Grey coming out of the bottle. It relaxes me immediately. I get a little hint of something warm and spicy behind it, but it’s tea dominant. On my skin, it opens up and I get a lightly cinnamon-dusted shortbread smell and just the faintest dash of measured citrus. It’s still mainly tea, as it should be. I am so damn happy the cream isn’t acting out. I get no burning plastic smell. It’s just lending a nice richness to everything. This might be better for me than Hyrule Castle, which I adore, but it ends up leaning a lot more foodie. In contrast, this one stays with that divine tea scent all the way through. Near the end, I do get a real sense of creaminess, but it’s mixed with the spice and cookie dust. And that enduring tea. The final stage is surprisingly spicy, like the cinnamon woke up from a nap and wanted to say hello. It’s in an herbal way though, much like if cloves or cinnamon stick were added to a tea blend. It’s just lovely. I could absolutely do it for bedtime. It would make a great body oil for layering too. I understand why it might be associated with the holidays/ fall/ winter, and I can get behind that. I also think it’s universal enough for year-round wear. This is a surprise favorite, I think!

2. Sweet, gourmand, citrusy, and spicy. Orange marmalade, sugar cookies, clove, cinnamon, and a hint of black tea. Can’t say I smell anything that reminds me of cream.

   Though the cinnamon doesn’t take over the scent at all, it’s still a little too present for me. This reminds me of my grandparents’ house around the holidays… a tree decorated with orange pomanders and a plate of sugar cookies fresh from the oven.

   Not for me, but recommend to anyone who enjoys spicy gourmands.
