Moonstone

Brand: Nocturne Alchemy

Scent Description: This was sold out and highly sought after and requested for a return. We found enough vanilla beans to cull the perfume again with the husk, fleck and essence of African White Vanilla to bond with a dash of Crystalline. This is a fresh batch and best when aged. Of course you can apply to skin now but the scent will resonate with aging. The true Husk, black and white Fleck, essence and whole of African White Vanilla with a kiss of Crystalline will only get better.

Released: Studio Limited Originals

  1. This is the same vanilla from Eternal Ankh, at least for me. It’s a very good, soft, cozy, straightforward vanilla. Moonstone doesn’t go plasticky on me the way a lot of vanillas do, but I do get a little hint of that powdery sunscreen note. It’s not terrible, though. I like this, it’s pleasant – my only complaint is possibly that it’s a little boring. But maybe that’s what you’re looking for! I would say this is a great relaxing bedtime perfume if you’re tired of lavender.

  2. Moonstone feels like a cloud of marshmallow- if you look at a cotton candy, it reminds me of the thin wisps flying off the candy. It floats around you, and like some other vanilla scents, I have trouble smelling them upfront and will catch a whiff randomly in the middle of the day. It’s definitely not cloyingly sweet or “sugary” like a cotton candy- it’s a tame fluffy vanilla. It’s my go to layering scent, especially for NAVA’s Dinos 🙂

  3. Fluffiest of the NAVA vanillas and the closest wearing to the skin. Moonstone reminds me of marshmallows that are made with pure vanilla extract. This threatens to go plastic for quite some time after it’s made, so wait for it to age to see its true qualities. Similar to Crystalline, it sortof floats around you during the day, creating a bubble of fluffy creamy vanilla.
