Custance (The Man of Law’s Tale)

Brand: Possets

Scent Description: The Man of Law tells a tale of a lady engaged to a Sultan who is shipwrecked and has many adventures. In honor of her Eastern rambles, I am making one of Possets’ stunning orientals and I hope that you love it! Sandalwood combined with a drop of Oude infusion, a kiss of tobacco flower, and a light dusting of dry incense. Real nice on a chilly spring day, and even nicer snuggling next to your honey on a chilly spring night. Very cozy.

Released: Permanent Blends

  1. Cozy is a good word for this. It starts off almost smelling of cinnamon buns if you took the foodiness out and replaced it with incense. Probably a weird description, but that’s what it brought to mind. As it dries down, it turns to warm, powdery incense. There’s the gentlest hint of tobacco, but it’s very understated. Now Custance makes me think of soft brown suede. Unisex.

  2. I usually love Oriental scents but something in this blend was too astringent for my liking. I cannot pick out the note that bothers me but, it sticks around as long as the scent lasts.
