Went through various stages from strong and musty to camphorous to end up softer and just kind of sweet and boring
I wanted to like this but I got a weird wet stone sweetness that amped above all other notes. Not the scent for me.
I think it’s definitely a powerful scent for some, but I just adore it. It’s like goth in a bottle to me: strong clove, excellent leather, a glorious mix of woodsmoke and incense smoke (can’t place what type, maybe nag champa?), and the atmosphere of walking through autumn woods after a rain. The clove used to be a lot more intense when it was young but now it has definitely mellowed into the scent and made things much more well-balanced.
Too leafy and incensey, I thought I would like this but it’s too dry
I wanted so badly to love Salem, but my body amps the damp leaves and all I smell like is mold or mildew.
