Hatshepsut

Brand: Traveling Vardo

Scent Description: Hatshepsut… Arguably the first great woman of recorded history. She was a forerunner of such strong female figures as Cleopatra and Elizabeth I. Her rise to power flew in the face of all traditional convention at the time. Upon the death of her husband, Thutmose II, she proclaimed herself pharaoh, denying her nephew the throne. Under her twenty year reign, Egypt experienced a thriving economy, expanded trade relations, and a time of great peace.

When eventually her nephew did take the throne, he had all references to Hatshepsut removed, her face even carved away from the temple walls.

This is a rich and perhaps not-so-traditional Egyptian musk blend with a trio of precious woods and a floral top note.
